Donate to a Non Profit Child Charity in Haiti and Save a Child Today
Truly, poverty is in every corner of the world, but Haiti seemed to have much of it, that is why it is so important to donate to a non profit child charity in Haiti now. They always battle with the natural disasters coming in to their island. However, are these really natural happenings or caused by human’s activities also? It may sound absurd, but people have to consider their actions to nature.
Haiti, for those who do not know yet, is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. What can Haitians say if well-developed countries cry for the increasing oil price already? Haitians do not afford to buy sufficient oil; however, they can produce charcoal out of burnt trees, and these serves for their energy needed. Excessive cutting of trees results to deforestation, leading to more heinous and inconceivable tragedies that came through Haitians.
Reforestation efforts seemed to be not sufficient to cover the highly eroded mountains. Growth in agriculture and vegetation, on the other hand, has always been suspended by floods, hurricane and typhoons that come to their land. These hazardous disasters not only killed plants and trees, but also people, innocent newly born children as well. These exempt no one.
Now, it is third quarter of the year again, the period of hurricane season in Caribbean countries. Deadly hurricane comes between the months of June through November. Last year, the record of four tropical storms that hit Haiti killed a no less than 800 people and left at least $1 billion worth of damage on properties. Fortunately, more and more people and institutions are pledging donations to help Haitians.
Recently, the board of directors of World Bank and International Monetary Fund decided to waive the Haiti’s obligations amounting to $1.2 billion, which further motivated the Inter-American Development Bank to announce another debt-relief for Haiti government. This poor nation comprised of approximately 9 million people living on less than $2 a day, was reportedly paying $1.6 million per day to the World Bank. The indebtedness was ballooned from the corruptive administration of the father-son dynasty, which has been ended in a 1986 rebellion.
Aside from this indebtedness from foreign institutions, people of Haiti are also battling for food and water supply. Equipment for water supply distributions were also destroyed by a series of natural disasters. Sewerage systems have not been practiced properly in Haiti, resulting to worst and unsafe water consumption. Fortunately, more and more volunteers came to Haiti to educate them of correct nutrition and proper waste disposal as part of home based economic development. What Haitians need is a sustainable economy especially in this time of global financial economic crisis. Let us help, donate whatever you can provide.
If you can eat thrice a day, you are still lucky as compared to Haitians who have nothing to eat. A single dollar you wasted for your luxury or leisure, may feed a family of Haitians. It may be difficult to trust the government for the donations, not only in Haiti but also around anywhere else. There are several non-government groups who organized themselves to extend help to the poor nations such as Haiti. Let us help the nation of Haiti with our support to a non profit child charity, feed them and guide them as they establish their own sustainable economy, for their daily living as well as for their future children. Donate to the people of Haiti and feel good knowing you helped in their fight for survival.
Why Should I Help This Non Profit Child Charity & Donate to Haiti?
The Non Profit Child Charity World Harvest Missions Outreach, an organization which persistently provides reinforcement to Haitians over the years and presently to the victims of the hurricanes that recently hit Haiti is encouraging people with the same aspiration to donate to Haiti.
One would probably wonder what makes Haiti the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and one of the poorest in the world. Well, we can go on and on from how it can be traced from long ago during the colonial times, with the issue of financial colonialism and trade embargo with other countries. But what makes it suffer its present conditions today as presented in the media is mostly associated with environmental factors such as the prevalence of deforestation which leads to soil erosion, and recurring floods which were greatly exemplified during the 2004 tropical storm which killed over 3,000 people and of course recently with the incidents of hurricanes.
Haiti is normally prone to different kinds of natural phenomena because of its geographical location. It is positioned in the high latitude tropics, mountainous terrains which have peaks that goes up to roughly 2700 meters above sea level and it is saddening that currently, deforestation and soil erosion are experienced in more than half of the areas in the country. This definitely affects the source of income of the natives of Haiti because 66% of them earn their living through agricultural means specifically through farming. Reforestation has been implemented for quite some time but it still has not succeeded in combating the imminent rise in environmental problems.
If only the government could find long term solutions to these widespread problem that can endanger people’s lives and may lead to worse problems when unforeseen weather conditions occur. Certainly there are a lot more reasons which cause poverty issues in Haiti just like in other third world countries, but environmental factors contribute a lot.
Another aspect that can be responsible is the high percentage of illiteracy in the population of Haiti. Of its nearly 9 million population, just under 50% are illiterate. Children who are enrolled in primary schools are estimated at 67%, of which less than 30% reach the sixth grade. Now this is the reason why it is extremely difficult for majority of Haitians to obtain a high paying job because they lack the proper skills and education which leads to farming being the major occupation of the people in this country.
If only more people would be aware of this situation, those goodhearted people who can help out in the funding for the proper education of children for them to be able to acquire a higher level of learning and not feel deprived of a much desired education. Then maybe they can go for more appropriate careers in the future. And eventually from there, the local community with some initial help would be able to stand on its own to continuously educate its people to become productive members of the society who can probably give back to its nation in the future.
These hopes aren’t unachievable if only more people would take action and acknowledge a little social responsibility. Hopefully, more people would be conscious to what’s happening in this country and would help the Non Profit Child Charity and donate to Haiti now.

Haiti Latest News is the “Spare Change Drive” to Provide Safe Water for Haiti in 2009 Started by a Non Profit Child Charity and Haiti Orphanage
Safe Water for Haiti in 2009 makes Haiti recent and latest news for non profit child charity World Harvest Missions Outreach and Haiti Orphanage New Life Childrens Home with their “Spare Change Drive”.
The back to back hurricanes during the summer of 2008 created a severe situation in Haiti that affected over 800,000 people. The flood waters are going down and are gone in some places but have left total destruction in their place. Food and safe drinking water are in very short supply.
Death from water borne disease is the current highest killer followed by starvation, especially in children.
Millions of dollars in aid and support have been pouring into the country but it is only making a small impact upon what is needed. There have been recent food riots when supplies come in and security has heightened. There is just not enough to help everyone.
World Harvest Missions Outreach and New Life Childrens Home charities have been loading donations of food, water and medical supplies in containers for shipment and distribution in Haiti, while also working with Mayor Masters of Riviera Beach, Florida and other charities on distribution of donations of additional aid supplies.
World Harvest Missions Outreach has been bringing God’s Love, food, water and medical supplies to the remote villages of Haiti for 35 years plus rescuing sick and dying children bringing them to their Haiti Orphanage New Life Childrens Home to care for them and is always looking for people to join a Christian mission trip to Haiti.
Despite the 35 years of World Harvest Missions Outreach work along with the work of so many other charities collecting donations and non profit child charity groups and organizations over the years in Haiti, the Haitian people continue to suffer from setbacks because of the yearly hurricanes which always flood and pollute the drinking water and wipe out the food crops.
With the current state of economics in the world the United States along with many other countries cannot afford to continue trying to solve this problem with aid sent after the fact. A more permanent solution to this problem of unsafe drinking water and food shortages needs to be found and implemented before the hurricanes begin.
World Harvest Missions Outreach has joined forces with organizations that have found a solution for the unsafe water in Haiti and it is ready to be implemented with target dates of delivery and distribution in Haiti by the end of Feb. 2009 and are also in the research and development phase of an emergency food supply system to begin production sometime in 2009.
The solution for unsafe water in Haiti can be implemented from the manufacturing process thru distribution into Haiti for 7 pennies per day per person and is very simple to use plus completely portable in case of an emergency evacuation due to hurricanes and flooding.
The charities organizing donations are World Harvest Missions Outreach and Haiti orphanage New Life Childrens Home by starting a grass roots effort for a spare change drive. With the ability to give a person in Haiti safe water for 7 pennies per day, spare change collected can help lots of people.
Anyone interested in helping in this “Spare Change Drive” for these charities collecting donations should contact safewaternow@gmail.com or call 561-856-8860 to request all the information. Visit http://www.WorldHarvestMissionsOutreach.org and http://www.NewLifeChildrensHome.org for information also.
Many organizations have already joined this effort with donations because time is running out to order, ship and distribute throughout Haiti before the 2009 hurricane season.
